The architecture reveals itself. With projects signed by the best national architects, the Campus of Santiago is an open exhibition of contemporary Portuguese architecture, which is visited annually by hundreds of specialists and other interested people coming from different parts of the world.
Buildings for teaching and research, residences for students and teachers, canteens and cafeterias, libraries, bookstore, halls for conferences and shows, exhibition galleries, sports pavilions, athletics tracks, laundries, post-offices, child day-care centres, bank and shops, all this on a single campus, surrounded by the natural beauty of centuries-old salt-pans and only a few steps away from the centre of the city of Aveiro.
This is a campus without gates and it is intended to be always open to everyone.
